1. Introduction to the Terms & Conditions / Policy

These Terms and Conditions / Policy govern the customs fees, taxes and duties associated with purchasing products from Ahithra ("we," "us," or "our").

Please carefully read and understand the following information prior to making a purchase from us. By placing an order with us, you agree to fully comply with and be bound by the terms and conditions & policy outlined herein:

2. Customs Fees, Taxes and Duties

2.1. Responsibility: Customers are wholly responsible for all customs fees, and duties imposed by the customs authorities of the destination country as a result of purchasing a product from Ahithra. 

2.2. Delays in receipt of goods: Customs processing can cause delays in the delivery of your order. Please note that we have no control over these processes and timescales and we therefore cannot guarantee delivery times. Please consider this when placing an order with us. 

2.3. Estimation of costs: The estimation of the customs fees, taxes and duties may vary depending upon the laws and regulations of your country and this is not something we have control of. Therefore we do not provide exact figures for these fees as a result of this. It is solely your responsibility to contact your local customs office or relevant authorities to obtain accurate information.

  

3. Refusal of Payment for Customs Fees, Taxes & Duties

3.1. Unpaid Fees/Costs: In the event that you refuse to pay any customs fees, taxes and duties required to release your order, you understand that it may be returned to Ahithra or else destroyed by your relevant authorities/customs office. You will be entirely responsible for any of the return shipping costs and fees associated with the return if this is the case. 

3.2. Non-Collection or Refusal of Delivery: If you do not collect or accept delivery of your parcel, resulting in its return to Ahithra, you will be liable for all costs associated with the return, including return shipping fees. Returned parcels may also be subject to disposal by the carrier or customs, depending on their policies.

3.3. Non-Collection/Non-Delivery: If a customer fails to collect or accept delivery of their order, resulting in the parcel being returned to Ahithra, the customer will be responsible for all return-related costs, including shipping fees and any charges imposed by the carrier or customs. In accordance with our returns policy, the 14-day return window begins from the date of the first attempted delivery, regardless of whether the parcel was successfully received. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed after the parcel is received and reviewed, and may be subject to deductions for these incurred costs.

4. Customs Documentation 

4.1. Customs Declaration: We will accurately declare the value and contents of your shipment on the required customs documentation. Please note that falsifying this information is illegal. 

4.2. Providing accurate Information: You must provide complete and accurate information when placing an order with us; including the recipient's name, delivery address, and other necessary details at checkout. Any inaccuracies in this information may result in customs clearance issues and additional charges which are the responsibility of the customer. 

4.3. Customs Fees: All EU duties and US tariffs are paid upfront, there will be no charge to customers. 

5. Refund and Cancellation of goods 

5.1. Non-Delivery of order: If your order is not delivered as a result of customs issues and is subsequently returned to Ahithra, we will refund you the purchase price, excluding any associated shipping costs and any customs-related fees we may incur. 

 

6. Legal Compliance

6.1. Compliance: It is your responsibility to comply with the customs laws and regulations of your country when making a purchase from us. Ahithra is not liable for any legal consequences resulting from non-compliance.

  

7. Changes to Terms and Conditions

7.1 Ahithra reserves the right to modify these customs fees and duties terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. By placing an order with Ahithra, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these customs fees and duties terms and conditions.
