Sarees are timeless, elegant, and deeply beautiful but for many women, wearing one can feel complicated and time-consuming. Our story began with my mother, who has always loved sarees, but after a stroke that affected the function of her hand, even the simplest draping became a challenge. Yet her love for sarees never faded.

Inspired by her, I set out to create sarees that any woman can wear with ease. Our ready-to-wear sarees come already draped and designed to be functional, allowing you to slip into one in under a minute. No more struggling with pleats, pins, or long draping routines just effortless style that celebrates tradition while fitting seamlessly into modern life.

I am beyond excited for you to try my sarees. Ahithra really is the manifestation of a dream, and I cannot wait for you to experience a piece of it feeling and wearing the designs, and becoming part of our community: a group of women who want to feel confident, stylish, and empowered every day.

I remember sketching outfits and designing fashion stores after school, a stark contrast to the corporate career I eventually pursued. Planning my outfit became the most fun part of my day, and I truly realized the power a great outfit can have. Fashion has a way of making you feel unstoppable.

Corporate life and creativity don’t always gel, so I turned to social media as an outlet to share my love for fashion. But I grew tired of chasing ever-changing trends and compromising on comfort. I realized it was time to create the pieces I had been longing for pieces that are beautiful, functional, and empowering.

From this vision, Ahithra was born. I personally work on every step of the design process, always considering the female body and how I can create pieces that flatter and help you feel your most confident self. My goal is simple: to ensure you can wear a beautiful saree without the struggle of draping it and feel your best, no matter the occasion.
